Cavaliermama Calendar Blocks for Mom - This is the first month and the base of a calendar I am making for my mother. I called it the gift that keeps on giving because she receives a new calendar block each month. It's not only fun for her to receive, but it's fun for me to do since its a small 10 1/2" block that I can usually complete in an afternoon. I don't usually use bright colors but it was fun to use these them. I saved the fabrics and try to use the some in each month's block. I try to use the black & white check in each and every one.
