Benton County, Oregon

Benton County, Oregon - I created this postcard for an on-line quilt challenge, as a representation of life in Benton County, Oregon. I used digital photographs of the courthouse to draw my building pattern, and raw-edge applique for the postcard pieces. I added the building details with free-motion stitching. I created the trees separately using thread-painting, and stitched them to the card. I created the postcard back by printing on fabric for the information about the postcard front, and stitching the lines for addressing and the postage stamp. Binding is a single layer.
