dianedidit Ride Boldly Ride - Whole cloth (poly/cotton knit) with cotton borders, binding and backing. A quilter wouldn't normally choose to use a knit, but the piece just said "mountains" to me, so I used it. I made the actual mountains with organza, painted and heavily free motion quilted - with liquid beads sprinkled across them as snow. The "sky" is free motion quilted in silver metallic thread. The road is painted corduroy. The tree line is fiber and the large tree is painted peltex heavily quilted and embellished with fiber branches.
