Design Source - Description | I made this quilt for my brother who had a stroke and needed something to keep warm while sitting in his wheelchair. The fabrics are a blend of newly purchased flannels and fabric from flannel shirts that belonged to our Father, Mother and myself. The backing is a large fish print bordered by a matching print of fishing flies and lures. My brother was an avid fisherman before the stroke left his right side parallelized. The quilting is done in a fish pattern designed by Loura Lee Fritz. The outcome is a memory quilt and a comfort to my brother. |
