Quilts for Kids Challenge Quilt - Every year the Capital Quilters Guild has a challenge to make a quilt for our Quilts for Kids service project. This was my entry in 2006, which won Viewers Choice. The challenge fabric was pink with bunnies. I added lots of other bright prints to make the sashing and borders. The pink areas are actually shadow trapunto, a bright fuschia felt layered beneath a white batiste top. The white areas were trapuntoed and cut away from white poly batting. It is closely quilted with floral motifs.
