Something "Girly"

Something "Girly" - I used Karen McTavish's book The Secrets of Elemental Quilting to make this trapuntoed quilt. The top is a layer of sheer cotton batiste. The hearts and other white trapunto work are cutaway from white batting. The quilt top was then layed over red felt, regular batting and backing. After tightly quilting, I tinted the floral motifs with Tsukineko inks and colored pencils.
