steven1216 The Gift of Plates - This quilt is one of my most treasured quilts. All of the fabrics were gifts to me by family members. I made the plates in 2002/2003 and packed them away. Several months later, I machine pieced the the back ground squares and then basted the squares in place and appliques them down. After all was completed I layered my quilt, basted it, and hand quilted it. The hand quilting design was my own designs (which cannot be clearly seen in the picture). The quilt was finally completed in early 2004. Enlarge and see if you can find the rounded plate? This is not a mistake!
