Design Source - Description | As part of a national effort, HOME OF THE BRAVE QUILT PROJECT, this is the quilt made for the mother of an Oregonian killed in Iraq. We make quilts of this same pattern using Civil War reproduciton fabrics when possible, to be authentic replicas of the quilts made during the Civil War by the U.S. Sanitary Commission, which later became the American Red Cross.
