Design Source - Description | All Bali batiks designed and pieced by Candace. In March 2004, Denver got hit with a 3-4 ft blizzard. I had started these blocks, but then finished it during the storm. I did not really realize what I had until I put it up on the rack and saw it from a distance. I quilted it on a Nolting longarm that I owned with a variegated thread and a free-hand flame stitch. It has a Hobbs wool batting and finishd size is 84" x 84". It was shown in the 2004 Capitol quilt Show in the Colorado State Capitol building. It also hung in the Lt. Governor's office in 2006. |
