This quilt was part of an exhibit at the 2001 Houston International Quilt Festival called America, From the Heart. It was auctioned for Charity along with 100 other quilts raising over $25,000 for the children of victims. A book of this exhibit was printed by C&T publishing. Called "America from the Heart", the book is now out of print. This small remembrance quilt of September 2001 depicts the way New York was at the beginning of September (top block), September 11th (middle block) and the days following when New Yorkers gathered around the “wall of prayers” (bottom). We will never forget. |
