| Design Source - Description | Norah taught this Cosmati class in Santa Barbara, and I loved it. I changed the borders and the filler in the 4 large circles, putting in a paper-pieced pattern I designed from a real photgraph of a Coasmati floor in Italy. The pieces are TINY, and the effect is stunning. This quilt won the Large Traditinal Pieced category as well as Best Use of Color in the 2006 Harvest of Colors quilt show in Santa Barbara. |
