Ladybug day - ladybug day happens around my house once a year. sometime in september the whole front of this old brick farmhouse is covered in ladybugs. I had never seen anything like it before so when the challenge came along to do something for www.fabledfibers.com I couldnt resist using this idea. here is the poem I wrote to go with it Ladybug, ladybug where are you today, The days grow long and winter is on its way The leaves on the trees are beginning to fall, your journey is so long for one so small. May the wind bring you swiftly to this place where I wait the day that you come, for me, is so great You bring all your friends and you fill up the wall and I am so happy to sit and watch you all As you crawl and you search for your winter space I hope you will find a cozy little place In this old house to rest till spring when the flowers grow and the birds sing. The wind will call and you will go on your way I'll see you again next ladybug day!

Ladybug, ladybug where are you today, The days grow long and winter is on its way
The leaves on the trees are beginning to fall, your journey is so long for one so small.
May the wind bring you swiftly to this place where I wait the day that you come, for me, is so great
You bring all your friends and you fill up the wall and I am so happy to sit and watch you all
As you crawl and you search for your winter space I hope you will find a cozy little place
In this old house to rest till spring when the flowers grow and the birds sing.
The wind will call and you will go on your way I'll see you again next ladybug day!
