quiltedkathy Heartland Album - This quilt is hand appliqued using the needle-turn technique. There are many dimensional flowers and buds on this quilt. I saw one of the samples in the book that used the plaid background fabric and fell in love with it. We just happened to have similar fabric at my LQS so I figured it was meant to be. We have started an applique group at the store and this was what we did as a block of the month project. Each month I demostrated what new technique there was in the block. Most are still working on it, but several have finished their quilts.
