Marna Amanda's Dresden Flower - This is the caption in the magazine: Capper's Weekly, a weekly newspaper published since 1897, printed this design in 1935 as a nameless pillow pattern. It is a challenging pieced variation of the familiar appliqued Dresden Plate block. The kite-shaped points in the four corners connect the blocks when they are sewn together. Plain alternating blocks will provide an opportunity to show off some fancy quilting.
