The original patterns calls for 1-inch blocks to make this quilt. I made it in 2-inch blocks instead and used fabrics from my massive scrap box. I also changed the inside band from a light one to a dark one (I love dark colors). I believe that the simplest designs allow you to make quilts with stupendous quilting. I love the way this quilt turned out. I especially love the unique "inside band" that designer Helen Weinman put into the quilt. The finished quilt is 56 X 72. |
