materialblessings Spencer's Lone Star - This is my SIL's (Patty) first quilt! She made it for her son's (Spencer) 21st birthday. It turned out so wonderful, nice and flat and beautifully pieced! I had the pleasure to quilt it....faux trapunto in the setting triangles and blocks, freehand feathers in the center and borders. When my SIL saw the quilt she loved the way it turned out. She then deciced that Spencer would have to wait to get the quilt when he got married...a 21 year old bachelor wouldn't appreciate all the work that went into the quilt...he needed a wife to help him understand how great this quilt is!! Poor Spencer....he got a nice utility quilt to love until he gets the wife thing! Tee-Hee!
