clpeter My Mother's Quilt - My mother hand pieced the blocks on "old domestic" when she was 15 and never did anything with them. In 1997, while preparing to sell their home and move to a retirement community, she threw a plastic bag at me and said, "Here, you are the only one I know who might do something with these.". I had never seen them before. I machine pieced the top and hand-quilted the quilt and then gave it to her for her 83rd birthday. She proudly showed anyone who would look. Sadly, she died in December, 1005. I now have "custody" until my granddaughter who is name after he can appreciate it.
