mickiding Tree of Life - I wanted to try embellishment techniques that I had been using to make journal pages. This quilt uses 10 different cliff fabrics. Some of the one I used were fabrics such as corduroy to give texture and dimension. For the foreground, I used three different cottons. The tree’s leaves are little pieces of fabrics, threads, and yarns. These were fused in place using Bo-Nash. The quilt top was covered with tulle to hold everything in place. Borders were added and everything was free motion quilted.
