Begonia Picotee Lace was proudly displayed at Pat's National Quilt Museum Exhibit in 2017. Pat writes, "My husband Gary took a beautiful shot of this begonia and I decided it would be an interesting subject." We agree, and it's a beautiful quilt.

TQS Puzzle: "Among Giants" by Pat Durbin

Pat writes,

"A redwood scene was a natural subject for me, having lived in the redwoods most of my life. We attended a wedding in Richardson's Grove, it was a beautiful day and Gary took many pictures. As I searched for just the right one to do a quilt, this shot jumped to my attention. I decided to make it tall and narrow, just like the trees to enhance the feeling."

TQS Puzzle: "Z is for Zoey" by Mary Kerr

Z is for Zoey won Outstanding Modern Quilt at Road to California 2017. Mary's quilt was quilted by Karen McTavish and was made for her granddaughter, Zoey Rose.

TQS Puzzle: "Square Dance" by Mary Kerr

Square Dance is another beauty created by Mary Kerr from vintage pieces. It was quilted by Kim Stotsenberg and measures 43 1/2" by 43 1/2."

TQS Puzzle: "Ojo De Dios" by Mary Kerr

Ojo de Dios made by Mary Kerr and quilted by Candice West, was part of Mary's Twisted exhibit. This exhibit focused on the incorporation of unfinished vintage textiles into a modern quilt aesthetic. Mary writes, "Scraps of vintage blocks and top fragments have been recycled to create new innovative quilts. These pieces begged to be offered a second chance and they now serve as a bridge between the vintage past and the modern future."
