Wendy writes, "This design is ribbon appliqué in a split stitch intertwined with a string of candlewicking knots in heavy thread. I love the shades of the primary colors and how the shapes dance with each other. I tested my free motion quilting with straight stitches and realized they needed to show a bit more. So I used the grey thread in a few places and continued to use different free motion quilting techniques. - straight lines, pebbles, flames and curls."
