Kathy McNeil's quilt, Audubon's Christmas, won 1st Place AQS Paducah 2012, plus the Viewers Choice Award. It celebrates one of her favorite winter scenes; many types of birds feasting together at their bird feeders. Their diverse colors seem more brilliant against the snowy white.

Adoration was inspired by the Gustav Klimt painting Mother and Child, and Emily Taylor wanted her quilt to portray the same feeling of the painting. Displaying an affectionate scene of a mother embracing her child, the painting struck a chord with Emily as it is the same way she felt about being a mother herself. Beautiful in its collage landscape, you can really sense the warmth and love that is on display.

Created as a beginner pattern for collage quilters, Emily's Clementine quilt really does just utilize the basics of collage quilting to depict a clementine fruit tree. Instead of emphasizing on how the image will turn out, it lets quilters focus on grouping similarly valued colored fabrics together to create the image. Once complete, the viewer's eyes will fill in the rest and a beautiful quilt is then seen.
