Introducing the 2013 TQS Block of the Month designed by Sue Nickels and Pat Holly! It's called "TWO OF US" and was created by the two of them. The quilt measures 79" x 79" and was completed just in time for Houston.

Brilliant idea, Margo. I like the idea of doing the BOM because we learn so much, but they can be very time consuming.

I`m still looking for another colour way. Maybe I can use some of my batik stash, which is now healthy.

I had thought of the 4 blocks and reducing the sizes as well. I wish we had a larger picture of the sizes to know how to fit it all in. Guess I'll have to wait until Janurary 1 to get a sense of it?? I don't want a lot of hassle on this.

I was thinking that this quilt would be a nice one to make at half scale because most of the pieces started out as bigger. I'm waiting to see the method for construction to see if my idea to do it would be above my pay scale however!

Marilyn, I am thinking about making a wall size version by just making four "blocks" instead of nine. It will be something like this:

I will just have to play around with the placement of the border applique, but it should work out just fine.

I think there are some members who are thinking about making the whole quilt but reducing the scale of the pieces. Not sure how to do that.

I am not interested in making a large version of this quilt. Space does not permit it but I can make it SMALLER! Any suggestions on doing that from anyone? I'm in LOVE with their previous collaborative quilt that was the inspiration for this one. I can do something like that with this quilt. Need a few guidelines on sizes. Help!
