tigsowner OFFLINE Posts: 56	I like Maderia! However, I'm currently using YLI Softouch and it's working beautifully. I like Masterpiece and Bottomline too but the latter doesn't always fill the spool evenly and then it's a fiddle to refill it onto another spool.

I hear you, I have a drawer full of mettler 50 weight in many colors that I am working on using up! The local quilt shops carry mostly Mettler. Quilters' Studio does carry other threads but they are somewhat of a drive for me.

I was recommended Belgian Sewing Thread cortal 120, by an excellent independant sewing machine sales & repairs man who has a shop in Banbury and really like how it sews. It comes in 1000m spools, and I can buy it mail order from them (or make a trip to Banbury when visiting my parents)
