The houses in these pictures were two of the cornerstones that represent a home lost to the Wildfires this summer. The other is a school house with lights off as students are sent home for remote learning.
I am finally finished. I had to take a break and come back. I want to do a border to make it a lap quilt. A great thank you to Alex for this fun project and all the great tips. It has been so much fun in this hard time we are going through. Connie from Canada best wishes to all the great quilters!
How did you do this!!! It is beautiful! I keep looking at it but don’t see any seams on the half square triangle around the pieced blocks.
Thank you!

I love your quilt & was going to set my blocks the same way but thought the flowers would be cut off too much. Did you make your blocks 6” finished or 8” finished? Thank you!

To fangdoc. That is beautiful. I didn't even see the Glorified 9 Patch until i read your comment and then I saw how it made the circles. Wow! Love ther pattern and colors. Great job!
I’m Sarah from York, PA. I had purchased six colorways of Kaffe Fassett’s Spiral Shells fabric several years ago, and I was in a “just can’t cut it” holding pattern until Alex announced this project and it seemed like serendipity. I scaled the sampler blocks up to 9” and used my Accuquilt GO to cut them and the 9” Glorified Nine Patch blocks. I did hand appliqué in the border and hand embroidery in the signature block. This was so much fun! The quilt top is 66” x 84”.
