Rosemary thank you so much for that, what a wealth of knowledge you are. My Grandmother was a Northumbrian quilter, I inherited a wholecloth quilt from her in the 1970's, just as duvets were the 'in' thing. Oh, I am so sad for what I did to that quilt

I can hardly bring myself to think about it. I hope my grandchildren treat my quilts with more respect but I'm sure there will be Karma.
