Thanks Maureen. Wish I had known that two weeks ago when they were here for the Knitting and Stitching Show in Dublin.

Thanks Maureen. There doesn't seem to be anybody selling them here but I can get them on Amazon UK or Ebay.

Rita in the UK the Shiva paint sticks are called Markal Artist paint sticks and they are quite easy to get over here.

I was taught to wait 24hrs or 36hrs if the paint is thick to cure the paint then cover the area with a dry paper towel or pressing cloth and heat set with an iron set on wool setting. Of course you should not heat set if the fabric use for the project is not able to be ironed.

Hmmm....I think all I did was put a white paper towel over it and press until the surface was hot.

Please tell me how you heat set the project. I suspect it means covering the surface with something and then using your iron, but for how long, etc?

Thanks!

I have used these sticks in small projects and they are worth the investment but use the artist not student type. This project would be great as a quick holiday gift. I use baby wipes to clean the stencil and stencil brush. So easy! :)
