Mine was done with a couple of different blocks. There was a log cabin block (the way it was sewn together I actually call it a courthouse step block, but the color placement is different) and a greek key block. There were 2 different greek key block lay out, one with dark fabric on the outside and one with light fabric on the outside. The book had good directions and pictures to show you what order to sew the pieces on for each block and the color placement. I actually think the quilt looks more complicated than it is, just a lot of pieces so it's not one I did quickly. I did a couple of blocks and then after I got the hang of it started chain piecing the blocks. This was actually my 3rd quilt from this pattern. I did 2 queen size ones and a lap size one, and still don't have one on my bed.
