Ah yes well Wendy, there is nothing like a wee nip of whiskey to lubricate the throat.

BJ, I really liked having my picture taken with Irene too. Doesn't she look well! And great to be with all my TQS friends. And Nancy, thanks for letting me stay in the pocket of your bag, I was feeling a little tired (and hung over after all that whiskey and maltesers in Lorchen's suitcase. )

Flat Rita spent the day yesterday at the Rocky Mountain Quilt Festival in Loveland, CO. And what a wonderful time she had!! She and I got there early and just hung out outside until the doors opened. She decided to spend the day in the pocket of my purse so she could see everything, but wouldn't get too tired out. After all, she's also at the Festival of Quilts so it's a pretty big day for her!

This show included quilts from the local guilds as well as the entire set of Hoffman Challenge quilts. There were also a bunch of good vendors, but Flat Rita was very careful with her money. I wasn't!! As we were enjoying the Hoffman Challenge quilts, we came across one that we really loved and Flat Rita insisted that we get a picture of her enjoying the quilt:

Nancy, Thanks for sharing your fun with me. I especially loved seeing the faces of all these women that I someday want to meet. Since your picture, Nancy, is not your Avatar I like having a picture of a person in mind now when I read your posts. Thanks.

After my class with the Sulky stabilizers, I HAD to visit the booth and pick up a few things...

Toodles!

Ritzy, I think it's the red wine. Flat Rita enjoyed a bottle of Fawnridge Syrah with my husband and I last evening. I hope Flat Rita will come back to Northern CA someday! Geneva

Lorchen won't notice she's off hobnobbing and cutting up lots of bits of fabric. If you look to your right I bet there's some more maltesers.

Rita--is all that slurring from the red wine or the constant crossing of the pond--you must be exhausted.
