I use an idea that I saw in Houston. I put Command Adhesive strips on the wall, let them sit however long the package says. Stick a metal square on the strip. Put a metal strip in the quilt (you can get them at the hardware store, and luckily, Greg has the correct tools to cut them). Then you use a rare earth magnet to stick the metal strip to the metal square. Use as many as you need depending on the weight of the quilt.
Frances, I was intrigued by this idea and tried it myself. I had problems with the command strip sticking to my wall. I guess I should try it again and use more alcohol to make sure the spot is really clean. But perhaps I am not using the right kind of magnet. What is a "rare earth" magnet. Is that different than others? I would really like this method to work for me because I live in an old house with plaster walls and every time I put a nail in the wall I fear seeing a big crack or worse yet a chunk of plaster falling to the floor. Thanks!
