I googled the manufacturer website, and it appears that the insert does not fit flush but rides over the top of the table.
Caveat Emptor? I wonder if the Sew-Ezi table has that same feature? It did not occur to me to check this out before hand, I just assumed that it would be so. And if I ground off the edge of the insert, it would fit DOWN into the top about an eighth inch below. Fortunately, mom can sew with it this way. And she can use my Sweet Sixteen sit down to quilt large stuff if need be.
Word to the wise, I guess!
Anyway her quilt studio aka sewing room looks much better now with lots of room.
