Me too. People are tired of listening to all my talking about quilts and The Quilt Show that has become an important part of my life.

Yep, quilting an chocolate--make me happy every time.
Me too! I reckon I am made up of 90% chocolate at this stage in my life.
Hobby, addiction, obsession - it's all three for me. As for therapy - well that's an hour that I could be quilting and the fees would buy me lots of fabric, wadding and notions. We have to get our priorities right here.
Hi Anne, my name is Rita and I am a happy quilter.

Yep, I too use this to escape the real world. Playing with the patterns and colours always make me smile! Oh and Ritzy, I also have been known to use chocolate.

yup - we probably all spend more than we can afford on this addiction...
but once you subtract everything that is given away, turned into presents, passed on to a worthy cause, given as a thank-you, etc. etc. it probably is cheaper - and it certainly is much more fun and gives to so many more than just us and our therapist

yes - i truly think that our addiction has a big part in it
whenever i'm totally stressed from work and life in general - getting out some fabric and playing with just the fabric, or getting some needles and thread involved as well - fixes me right up - and i'm certain i'm not alone in this

Hi,
I have been surfing the forum and noticed the thumbnail photo's of the members.
They all look so happy and smiling, do you think it's because or our addiction? (sorry, hobby)
When I go to shows everyone is so friendly and helpful and cheerful.
I love quilting
Anne
