At least that is far better than the little lad I know who pointedto a corkscrew and said 'Daddy', his other great line was after being asked what he had done that weekend by a babysitter was 'Mummy, Daddy, bang-bang' :shock:

Eva's parents started reading to her and looking at picture books with her almost from the day she was born, and I have been very happy to supply more books whenever I see any nice ones anywhere. She's so cute and that's a really good word for a 1 year old. My youngest DGD turned 2 today. She doesn't feel the need to talk yet, wasn't sure what she was supposed to do with that candle, and didn't seem to have a lot of interest in opening her presents. She does say a few words occasionally, but most of her talking is just jabbering. They finally have a hearing test scheduled so we will soon know if that is the problem. But it could be 6 months before the proper specialist can see her due to budget cuts. Hopefully by then they won't be needed.
