I get to babysit for the first time tomorrow!!! I can't wait to just hold him in my arms again. I didn't believe everyone who told me how I'd feel; it's beyond words.

Being a grandma is the best. Those hugs and kisses are heartwarming. You will love the baby but the first time the word grandma comes out of that cute little mouth you will melt.
Have a wonderful quilty week.

Sharon, if it's a girl, when you show up with those grandma made outfits, they'll love every stitch! And then there are the clothes that you make and give to the cherub without momma and pappa seeing them first! I never saw a little girl or boy that didn't love what grandma made.

Maybe one day....
In the meantime, we'll live vicariously through the stories of our quilt friends.
Best Regards
Susan

As some of you know in March I found out I will be a grandma. Friday they called to say its going to be a girl. Woo Hoo. However, I was informed by both parents, NO pink or purple and NONE to very little ruffles. Oh for crying out loud. I will probably do what I want and pray they get the girliest girl around. LOL Looking forward to finding all kinds of girly quilts to make.

Well, welcome to the fold, Eileen!!! Nothing compares to G-parenthood!

Wish I'd known you were at MQX. Some of us went on Thursday and stayed through to Sunday. Were you at the Radisson too?

Man, sometimes, we quilters are like two ships that pass in the night, eh? LOL

Neen,
We stayed at the Comfort Inn. Much cheaper. Have you made your reservation for next year in Providence?????????????

Eileen,

Congratulations on your new grandbaby !!

I saw his picture on your blog and he is just beautiful ! I know he's a guy and I probably should say handsome, but he sure looks beautiful to me.

There are few things better than a quilt show, but running home to see him would definitely be one of them :D .

Hope you're are getting lots of Grandma time with him,

Sue

Speaking of grand kids, mine is in China for 12 days for a school outing. Lindsey is a senior and an honor roll student and she was picked to go. Going to University of Maine in September. Do they grow fast. I watched her and her brother grow up. My daughter has lived with me for 15 years. Being a single mother I have been involved in their lives to see them grow. Justin is doing great in his second year in collage too. I am glad to see all this in their lives.....and in my lifetime....Norina
