Hi this is Ann just checking in with a number of prayer requests and a huge Thank You Prayer to the Lord Above.
First, please continue to pray for our DGD, Isabelle and her daddy, Frank, as he goes through his tongue cancer. The road has been rough with lots of two steps forward and three or four steps back but things seem to be on an upswing right now. He is gaining strength and eating better. Isabelle seems to be more relaxed about the whole situation and going on with her teenage life like she should. Last weekend was their big Homecoming Dance in the middle of a rain storm which posed some issues for young girls in fancy dresses getting from house to car, but all went well. So for now we are in a holding pattern there but continue to pray for a good final result and health and peace for Frank
Second, and probably most importantly, we need urgent prayers now for our dear friend Dana (dlquilter). She has just found out that she has a type of kidney cancer. She told me the name but my poor old brain can't remember. She will be having tests tomorrow and will have surgery on Oct. 23. At that time they will remove the right kidney which should remove all of the cancer. She needs lots of prayers and support at this time. Dana has been such a dear friend to me and to many of you and is such a supportive and caring person. We just all need to support her now as she has supported so many of us.
Third, the Prayer of Praise and Thankfulness. A week ago, Dh and I went out to dinner and when we got home, I started feeling really awful. I was hot and sweaty and it felt like my heart was racing and my head was about to blow up. We went to the emergency room and when I got there, my heart rate was 224 beats/minute and who knows what my blood pressure was. Well after a few scary minutes when it seemed like half the hospital was by my bed and every body was doing something different, things began to calm down. A dose of some heavy duty medication got my heart back on track and my blood pressure dropped to a close to normal level. That was about 8:00 p.m. Well I was admitted and stayed until Monday when they did a procedure similar to a heart catheterization but it was to fix the electrical curcuit in my heart so it wouldn't cause the rapid heart beat any more. I ended up staying until noon on Tuesday but am now home and feeling fine. I guess one more time I dodged another bullet. So thank the Lord that He brought me through once again. Life is good.
So as always, I say God is Good, All the Time, All the time, God is Good. Hugs and love to all and prayers for everyone else on the list. Ann
