TOPIC: The Prayer List

12 Aug 2008 10:02 #24019

Lynn I think Rachel is talking about my friend, Steve who is a cultural attachee in the Republic of Georgia. His family had to flee the country on Sunday but he has to stay and be a presence for the United States and of course, for the 2000 Americans in that country. Good news I saw today that Russia has called off the attack. Hoping Marie and kids and MIL are coming back home to the embassy because it's really tough to live in a hotel with that many kids. I am much calmer now about them.

My memory isn't great here, so humor me. Who is Jeremy? Husband? And what do you mean, "he's taken your TV away? And who are the 'boys.' My independent ME just felt the hairs rising on the back of my neck when I read that!

And of course you have to realize I don't have CABLE so I didn't know who Nancy Grace was without googling her name! (I live in the last century!) ha

Well I went over today and played with all my grand neices. That helped loads. That and tommarrow my little godson is spending his last night in NY with me. He is 2 1/2 and busy. So I won't have time to be depressed.
I have been thinking of all those people in worn torn countries. The devistation and heartache that must exist there right now. I know God will take care of that families father. He has a plan I am sure. Jeremy has taken away my TV in my room. So I am not completely up on current events. The boys have been ordered not to allow me to watch Nancy Grace for awhile. All the videos have disappeared except the Disney ones.
I am so sorry to hear about the feeding tube that your friend has. But please let her know she needs fluids and nourishment. So tell her not to fight it. I do wish her a speedy recovery.

Rachael, no apologies needed here! A good place to get it out and get it down on paper! Somehow that often helps to get it out of our heads and hearts. Not that we don't still 'feel' but it helps.

All: I'm praying daily for all your intentions.

Rachel I'm sorry things aren't working out for you and especially for that poor child.

Judy it sounds like Nina and her husband will have a grueling several weeks ahead. I'll keep them in my prayers.

Patti good news about your friends. I hope the Dad will remain safe.

I have been reading and praying for all of you. Please Rachel don't apologize for how you have been feeling. You are a wonderful person to care that much and know that we will be here to pray for you and your family and that child.

Rachel,
This is the place to get support. Holding all that hurt in makes the physical problems worse. We're here to support you, that's what friends are for. I'm sorry for what has been happening. I don't know why it seems that people who don't take care of their kids seem to have them easily. You are in my prayers.

Rachel and Judy, keeping your concerns in prayer.

Update on my friends in the Republic of Georgia. Sunday the family did leave Georgia. The husband has to stay of course with his duties at the embassy. I have not heard where the family went to and anxiously watching for an update. Thanks for your continued prayers.

Rachel, you didn't say anything wrong, you are entitled to your emotions. You're hurting right now and we are all here to listen.

My prayers are going out for everyones intentions.

My friend Nina is having a feeding tube put in today. Her radiation and chemo will begin soon and they want to be sure she will be able to receive nourishment. Her and DH will need to drive to Santa Barbara every day for the next 6 weeks. That is an hour away from home. They will both be needing prayers to make it through every thing.

 I AM SOOO SORRY :!:  Last nights rant was unjforgivable. Like I said I have been dealing with somethings in my personal life that have been a bit difficult. Lately I just say the wrong things and do the wrong thing so I have just been quiet. I do check in on the prayer line and pray for all. You folks are amazing I think I like this thread best of all of them.

Hi everyone,
several of you have been wondering where I have been. I am still alive. I guess that is the good news. I just am dealing with some personal bagage that is weighing me down. My hubby and I are not able to get my cousins baby like we wanted to. Plus there are several complications with it, that have been caused by my cousin. I would really like to hurt her as much as she has hurt that little baby. I do not think she will ever learn. I hope she has her tubes tied with this one. It just doesn't seem fair that she can give birth to 5 children and lose custody of them all. Yet there are people out there who can not even have one of their own. Plus Perfectly good parents who are wonderful and attentive lose a child to a freak accident. Yet the drug addict drunk that works with my husband who never watches her kid and never knows where he is. She teaches him swear words (other then that he doesn't know any other word). Kid is just fine. Not that I want him to be hurt but I want her to be more attentive and a better mom. See this is why I haven't been on the computer I just can not get past this stuff with out crying.

So glad to hear some good reports, and I'm continuing to say a prayer every day for the requests on this thread. I had a bad case of the "baby blues" 30 yrs. ago with my youngest daughter. I didn't take anything, but the Lord helped me through it. It finally just left. I'll be praying for this heaviness to be lifted off of Lisa. Our hormones can do a job on us!

Thank you so much Margarita. Simone, the daughter travelling today is so on my mind. I hope it's going well. She's so young and very travel savy but these are extraordinary circumstances.
