I am also asking for prayers. My dad is in the hospital, his heart catherization had some complications. My sister is there with my mom and I will probably go down early to help with mom; they are in a hotel in Miami. and I know I need energy to take care of them and I need prayers for my health too!
Thank you all!

Please keep me in your prayers I usually don't ask for prayers personally but i am about to hurt my neighbors. They keep calling the police on me. Apparently my remodeling is disturbing them. Anyway that and the guys in this family are falling apart. My court depositions are coming up in about one and a half weeks.
On the lighter side there has been a marriage proposal Jessica is engaged to Scott. :D . Scott asked my father (Jessica's grandfather for permission) told you this guy deserved a quilt. The date is 10-11-09 (I think)

Lynn, thank you for an update on the Ike situation--we aren't getting news about Ike anymore here in California. I'll keep everyone in my prayers. Judy in Torrance (where it was 100 degrees today--thank the Lord I have my AC since I don't do heat very well!)

Prayers to all the spoken and unspoken needs mentioned here.

There are still many, (145,000) without power here in the Houston area and for those who are house-bound, wheel chair bound, and living in care (or non-care) facilities, this has become more than just an inconvenience. (chilling insulin and other meds) groceries, meds delivered, etc. A real nightmare.

Please do keep them in your prayers as this IKE damages continues to be dealt with and resolved, one person at a time. I know the power company has made monumental efforts to get this resolved, but if you are the one without power it might not feel that way.

The damage in Galveston remains HUGE but I see TV pictures every day depicting the clean-up and rebuilding of hopes and dreams. I'm sure some are not returning, but the general feeling of those I see interviewed is hopeful and most seem to be returning.

Nan
My thoughts and prayers go out to your brother. My uncle Carl had this surgery about 15 years ago so I know how ill your brother feels through this, My uncle is doing great to this day considering he had to have the illeostomy surgery a (bag) from having colon cancer, not sure that this is spelled right. In the great faith that I hold during this tough road ahead I hope your brother recovers quickly in Gods grace and his journeys ahead shall hold many blessings and the pain shall soon all be passed. My uncle Carl plays guitar and sings like a star. Tell your Brother we are all Praying for him to get well and that his brother Carl stood before him and he is doing well that "God is Good".

My Thoughts and Prayers go out to you everyone

Hugzzz,Kathy

Rachel is still here in NY just wanting everyone to know that I am still thinking and praying for all. Sending warm thoughts and love out to all those who are ailing. I am not doing much sewing right at this moment. It is all that I can do just to get to the computer but I am thinking of all my TQS friends. God be with you

We are back in Wisconsin. DH saw a hematologist who did a couple of tests to try to determine what is causing recurring blod clots (he had 2 in the same leg, 3 years apart.) I also had a blood test for kidney function; my one remaining kidney is doing OK, so this is a praise! But please continue to pray for DH. Another praise: my DD here in Wisconsin has a long-term sub job! She is on cloud 9. Thanks for praying about that.

Judy...Thanks for the prayer. You are right about not having tests. But most doctors in my area have their patients have the colonoscopy. but then if you don't go to the doctor I guess they can't help you...Thanks again. Nan

Nan, I said a prayer for your brother. I think many people just don't take the time for these tests because they feel fine--the worst part of a colonoscopy is the preparation. That, I could do without.

Everyone is so helpful with praying for others, I would like to request that you say a prayer for my youngest brother (56 years old) who had part of his colon resectioned because of cancer in the colon and they also found he had three small cancerous spots on his liver and one large spot. He will be going through some extreme Chemo to try and take care of the small spots and then possible more surgery for the large spot. Also please recommend and stress to all your familly members the importance of having a colonoscopy. (He had never had a colonoscoy, why I don't know) I would greatly appreciate any prayers for him. We live many miles apart but my heart and thoughts and prayers are always with my brothers and sisters. Thank you everyone in advance. Nan F :( :( :(
