TOPIC: The Prayer List

31 Aug 2009 10:44 #38018

Just got off the phone with my brother. Mom and Dad just left to go back home. According to the local newspaper, the fire is contained, there are still hot spots within the boundaries, but the fire isn't moving. There is a chance of wind again today. The fire area isn't as close to their house as was first thought. Thank you all for your prayers.

Frances,
prayers onthe way. We used to live in CA with the wildfires. My oldest is still there, but he's in LA surrounded by concrete so he says he is fine.

Please keep my parents, (MargaritaW) in your prayers. There is a wildfire near their house and they have been evacuated. I will update when I know more.

Dana I'm praying for your Dad's health and for you, your Mom, and your family while he is sick.

Also said a prayer for Rosemary, Joan. Hope everything goes well with her surgery.

Continued prayers, Ritzy, for strength and comfort for all in your family.

I am a Third Order Carmelite, and one thing that helped me is from St Theresa, the Little Flower, who said, "Life is not sad, it is this exile that is sad; life starts in Heaven" after one of her novices said how bad life was.
You are in my prayers.

Having lost both of my sons, I know Beccah's pain. But I never was angry with God. I have always said that God gave me my beautiful boys, but life took them away. It is not God's intention that any of us suffer. These are hard times, and hard lessons to learn.

Ritzy - I, too, have no words to express my sorrow in your loss. Just know that I am thinking of you and Beccah and the rest of your family during this time. May God bess all of you. Mary

Ritzy our hearts break with yours and Beccah and all your family during this trying time. But we know God in his wonder loves us all EVEN when we're mad at him. Let her, even help her, express those emotions and get them out. They're as real as the sadness and grief she bears. God will be with her thru it, and will hold her close.
Praying for you all,
Florence

Ritzy,
words escape me, I can't imagine the loss. but my prayers are with you. I have a son born with a birth defect, 13 operations in his life, I know how upset I was and I read so many books and prayers as to why and how come. didn't get any answers! but my faith became stronger. A friend told me that this baby was in heaven and God knew I could take care of him. Maybe God just needed Isabel with Him. words escape me, yet I rattle on.
you are in my prayers.
Joan
