TOPIC: The Prayer List

Re: The Prayer List 28 Oct 2012 20:28 #91003

Keeping you all in prayer for the many requests that have been shared. Would you all remember a mother and her two children who this evening fled an abusive situation and are tucked away safely in our friends' home? Please pray the father does not seek them out and that no harm would come to them or those who are sheltering them. Also keep them in your prayers as the mother decides what steps she needs to take concerning the future for herself and her children. Thank you for your faithfulness in prayer.
Blessings,
Jane

Thank you, everyone, for praying for my Mom and me. She is almost back to herself before the hospitalization. For 90 years old, she is doing fantastic. I know that this won't last a very long time because of her age. She is still a little confused, but that is understandable with so many people in and out every 24 hours. We will be scaling back on the caregiver hours in Nov. This will be a gradual process. We will see how it goes as to how far and which hours we will go back on. Thanks again! Prayer is wonderful! God is good all the time!

Thanks so much for all your prayers and suggestions everyone. Over the years my daughter has had acupuncture for quite a while. She also participated in a study done by a Dr here in Cleveland that found after some kinds of plastic surgery his patients found their migraines went away. Didn't work for her though. She also has had botox injections, tried gluten free diets, organic, dairy free, and a little yoga. She gets massages and has been doing myofacia stretching everyday. I probably didn't call that the correct name. The stretching had been helping but she's a surgical nurse and there are so many unavoidable chemicals and gases and things that trigger her headaches. Even the air fresheners in their locker rooms start her day off badly. It's a small room with two fragrant units. She's trying to talk to someone about them. Anyway as you know we can't eliminate every odor and chemical but hopefully it'll get better. I know your prayers make a difference. Thanks!

Praying for your daughter Karen and congratulations on yor grand baby! :D . I have suffered from really bad migraines and every now and then I might get the beginning of one. Never tried acupuncture but, chiropractic care, yoga, massage, relaxation and breathing techniques have been helping a lot. Would she be interested in attending a yoga class for expecting/pregnant women? Hope she gets permanent relief. :)

Has she spoken to her physician about acupuncture?
I suffered from migraines for many years, they were brought on by various things: certain foods, certain drinks, high pitched noises, weather changes, etc etc. when my old GP retired the young fellow taking over her practice also did acupuncture and suggested we try that... Generally I had to call and go in as soon as I felt a migraine coming... If I was early enough he could treat it and it would go away, if I was too late the treatment made it come full blast and I'd generally spend the next day or two completely immersed in pain, but after the fourth or fifth session (within a time span of almost two years), the migraines disappeared and havn't come back for almost 20 years. I still get headaches, but migraines have gone for the time being - hopefully for good!

Oh Lotti you wouldn't believe all the treatments she has tried including acupuncture. I wish something would work. I'm so happy for you that yours have stayed away so long and hope it's forever.
