Please pray for Clara Lawrence today.

Posted by Clara on Facebook.

'Today is a tough day for me. Stephen is 19, but is not here to share it with us. So, I piece a quilt for my boys today to try and find some piece. Hopefully next year I will be in a better and we can celebrate his life the way we should. Right now, I need to do some therapy quilting.'

Thank you.

Prayers for Dawn going out. Also praying for all those affected by the tragedy in CT. Asking for prayers for my stepmom who has heart issues. Thanks for the prayers. Her name is Carol and she has already had a bypass about two years ago. Thanks, Jan

Keeping you in prayer Dawn for succesful surgery and an exceptionally fast recovery.
I happened to be driving home from Christmas shopping when I heard President Obama addressing the nation about the tragedy. His words were very touching and I found myself wiping away tears for the rest of the trip home. What would we do if we couldn't pray? Bless you all dear friends. This Prayer List prayer group is a privilege I cherish.
Blessings,
Jane

Sharon, hugs to your DIL. This must be terribly difficult for her. I'm having trouble comprehending how someone can have so much anger that he could kill so many innocent children. I'm saying prayers for all the families affected that they might find some comfort during this terrible time. And I'm praying that we as a nation find a way to prevent this type of tragedy from ever happening again.

I'd also like to ask your prayers for one of our own—Scoopie will be having surgery on Wednesday to remove of her sigmoid colon because of diverticulitis. She will be in the hospital for 3 to 6 days. Naturally, she's anxious about the surgery, so please say prayers that she can be calm and rested before the surgery, that her pain can be controlled, that the surgery is successful, and that she recovers quickly.

Hugs to all my TQS sisters and brothers during this holiday season. I hold you all so dear!

Yesterday was tough on all of us. I don't mention this very often, but my DIL grew up on Greenwood, SC. When she was in the 3rd grade a gunman came into her classroom and killed the teacher and two little (I think) girls. One was sitting next to Kalynn. He is of course in a prison for life sentence. I spoke with her yesterday to see how she was doing and she said its hard every time, reliving it, but gets better with time. If you want to google it, I believe it was in 1989 in Greenwood, SC. The healing is now beginning for everyone involved.

Lotti, thanks for the candles, Sharon
P.S. -- thanks for the prayers for my cousin and friend, you quilters are awesomely awesome!!

Lotti, Thanks for lighting those candles. Newtown is miles away from me but tragedies like these belong to us all. I have special prayers for those who were immediately touched by this horrible crime.
