I got the four corner triangles made and put on my feathered star. I divided each triangle into three pieces and am using three different colors. I ran into a little trouble making them. I cut out the triangles and drew the lines subdividing the triangles. Then I paper pieced them. Then I added a quarter inch seam allowance around them. Then I couldn't figure out why my triangles were too big.
So I then cut out another square of freezer paper then sub cut it into triangles. I ironed them onto the triangles I made and trimmed the extra off. Now they are sewed on and look great. I like what genevacarroll did with her four patch borders. I might play with that a little more, so I might not start working on that until next week. DS is having a lot of input on this quilt. He will be home again on Friday, so we will be discussing the quilt again on Saturday.
Frances is Austin where it rained last night.
