TOPIC: Quilting

Quilting 05 Apr 2008 17:44 #16820

How many enjoy the quilting process of making quilts. This is my favorite part of making quilts, picking out the designs is not always easy, I have a carpenters star quilt top I'm not sure of a pattern just yet.
Binding has been a big challenge in the past. It has become a fun part of the process too, though I sew all mine by machine.

I was on ebay the other day,It's like when did the jelly rolls come out or is this something that our binding is called once rolled up. Between noodles and jelly rolls aren't they the same thing,"Jelly Noodle rolls". The jelly rolls could be used for several things.
I found some nice fat quarters that I just had to have! LOL! Thier are some there that sell fabric by the yards. I bought 10 yards of fabric to use for a backing on my carpenters star quilt, price wasn't to bad 58.00. I Don't know for sure if this will work out but I do like the material. I think it may be to buzy for this quilt top. Choosing your backing is a challenge at times too,it can be for me.
