I haven't worked out what the contest is either.

Nah! I have 'Carriage Wit' as Sir Percy Blakney (the Scarlet Pimpernel) puts it. Whereby you think up the perfect riposte in the carriage on the way home. The forum is a great place for this type of thing because you can have thinking time and writing time to polish the comment - if you so wish.

The die were truly loaded

against Marilyn starting a new project using this technique, unless she had visited either the UK or one of the Commonwealth countries and had any coins left over from her visit.
