Ooo your Christmas wallhanging idea sounds pretty. I have to admit I downloaded it "just in case" I ever want to make it. I'll look forward to seeing yours.

That is such a coincidence Karen! I have a folder on my desktop just for downloaded quilting patterns and I download them straight into it. That way I always know where they have gone - or mostly! Do you think you will make Wish upon a Star? I was thinking of just using three stars to make a wall-hanging for Christmas, in Christmasy colours. Rita.

Oh my gosh! I just came back to the TQS forum from doing the exact same thing. I was wondering if I'll even remember that I have it downloaded somewhere on my computer later on.

Thanks Karen. Yes I was pleased that I was able to figure it out. I really enjoyed her show too. And I just downloaded a lovely pattern of hers from the AQS newsletter - it's called 'Wish Upon A Star'. I have downloaded more patterns than I can actually do in my lifetime, but it's great fun.

Rita your block is great. Doesn't it feel good when you can figure out how to do it yourself? Then at least you don't have to wait till down the road when you can get the streamlined version to try. I really enjoyed Gyleen's show.

Yes I am sure it would be quicker with the ruler, and the book, but with the postage from the US and importation tax (depending on which company delivers)I am having a moratorium on buying for a while. But at least I now know how to do it and it is not so scary anymore thanks to Gyleen Fitzgerald!

Pam that looks great. My how fast you are! I tried doing a sample block without either the ruler or the book - just watched the programme again and paused it at each step and it turned out fine. If I was doing it for real I would be a lot more careful with my sewing and cutting. Now it goes into the bag of tester blocks that may get done someday Rita.

Thank you. I did a lap size for the instant happiness. I've been on Gyleen's facebook and the next one will be snail trail style with the blue as the trail. I have lots for RWB fabric to use up and this is such a great way to use scraps and fabric to make room for something new.
