I know what you mean! :) I recently put a new carpet made from corn in my office, and wondered how many stalks went into it! I wonder what part they use? The kernels? The silk?

I have visions of the carpet's dissolving if I should spill water on it!

Thank you very much for getting back to me quickly.

I will contact Valori to find out how I can purchase the pattern.

That is a quilt of Valori's . Her contact info is listed under the viewing of the show - she will be able to help you out. WELCOME!

Have a Newbie Question about a Quilt in this Show 07 Mar 2009 13:08 #33072

Hi-

I am a brand new member of The Quilt Show- and this was the first show I have been able to watch.

I have fallen in Love with the quilt that is behind the audience. It is the very first quilt you see in the show on the back wall. Can anyone tell me about that quilt and pattern? I would like to be able to make one someday.

Thanks- Kathy

I agree with Terri....having the demo up front made viewing her quilts after more enjoyable since we already had an idea of technique involved.
I am hoping to try the corn batting this summer on my next project.

Magnus, this made me laugh. It sounds like you're gonna wait for summer so you can grow the corn yourself!

I want to say that I'm right there with Ricky-I get most of my ideas/inspiration in the shower. Now all I have to figure out is how to write them down so I don't forget.

How about using a kolh eyliner on the tiles?

Another good show. I really like how this one moved right into the demo with Valori and covered a fun technique.
Love her fabric and really would like to try the corn batting.
