I have worked July's BOM up to the point of doing the berries. (I am so far behind.) I wanted to watch this show before tackling those 33 berries in this block. I watched the show this morning. Sue was wonderful and her techniques are great. (20 quilts a year!?!) But also the rest of the show! WOW! The enthusiasm and the way Alex and Ricky work off each other--I love this show! OK now to go make a bunch of berries.

Loved the show 23 Aug 2008 08:19 #24735

It was such a pleasure to watch Sue's preparation and attention to detail. I should have seen this show before beginning my BOMs. This project is such a journey and I can see it in my work. I would love to see more of her work and her timesaving, and perfecting tips. :)

This was a great show and I was amazed by Sue's quilts, they are beautiful, and so varied. I would love to see how she actually does the needleturn applique, we only saw her preparation, please can you get her back for another show!!

What a fabulous show. I just watched it last evening. Sue is really something, I think we all agree on that. I also looked at her blog and am thrilled about 2009's pieced quilt. Now, when am I going to find time to quilt this year's???????

I just watched the show. I knew I was going to love it. Sue is just marvelous and Oh my 20 quilts a year! I do berries the same way and used to do the bias bar strips and got reminded by watching her do it that it really is a good method. Well looking forward to tonite's chat.

Just finished watching the show and it was wonderful.

Do you think the Rodeo quilt was created the traditional way and then the horse and rider were appliqued on top. I've seen this type of technique done before (I think the last one I saw was a beautiful cat that was appliqued on top of a tradional block), but I've never known for sure how it was accomplished. The results are simply superb though.

I also enjoyed watching the long arm. If only little construction fairies would come in the middle of the night and build on a room that would allow such a beast to come home with me, I'd be all set!
