I finally got to watch and agree this was a great show!Lots of information and I'm glad no one else was home because I was laughing out loud.And Lorchen,the stiff material Laura used is called Fast2fuse.I've used it for making fabric bowls.A very stiff interfacing of the kind used for making hat brims works also. This has got to be one of the best shows ever! I thought the jokes were great, the cast fantastic, and best of all the pace of the show was fast and fun! Laura has one of the best TV personalities and really shines alongside Alex and Ricky. Her information on Fusing is top notch, and I immediately went out and found her teaching at a location near me, signed up and will be a happy student this fall in her class at PIQF. Anyway, now that we have a T1 connection, it makes all the difference in the world to see the shows. I'll be trying to catch up with the previous shows I missed soon.
I'd like to see a bit more of a summary of the steps and materials used for these demos with guest artists, so I might go right out and buy the equipment, come back and watch the show again and make the items.

Well I've just had a wonderful day. My BFF (Best Friend forever) came from Denver to visit me and take home my old car to her son. And when she left I watched this show. I've been smiling all day between the two events. This was a really good show and so funny! Loved it.

I loved this show - from start to finish! Now I want to do another convergence and I love the idea of making it a baby quilt! Then Laura's sense of humor was so much fun and I can actually see myself making one (or more) of these quilts. Then I love the new info from Bob the Thread Guy and also the Treasure Chest. I do wonder what happened to Gizmo Girl, though. Great show!

What a fun show. Probably not something I'll find the time to do, but I enjoyed learning about it, and loved the humor and the music.

Several times while I was watching this show, DH had to come in to see what I was laughing at. All the shows are great but this had to be the funniest so far!!!

The show was just great! Since I've been banging at all the boundaries of traditional quilting - ie: MACHINE applique (ha) yeah, I know, that's not really that much is it? ha

Well, I've been a hand piecer and always hand quilter until TQS came into my life. Now I'm learning FMQ, and MACHINE applique, and now I'm going to be comfortable with FUSING! Woo Hoo! And then there's the 'quarter-inch-or-so' seams....and HEAVEN FORBID.....cutting without a ruler, right Alex? ha I mean, before long I'll even be enbellishing! My, my, my! Sometimes you just can't keep 'em down on the farm, can you?

That's what TQS has done for me is to present me with millions of ways to think out of the box and it just seems that once an idea is out of the box, THERE AIN'T NO WAY TO GET IT BACK IN!!!!

I enjoyed this show, as well. This past year in Quilting in the Desert, Laura taught a class in the room next to ours and there was a lot of singing and laughter coming out of that room. Our quilt teacher said, jokingly, that she never wanted to be placed next to Laura ever again because they were having way too much fun. Now I can see why. A very talented lady.

When I paid for series one, I thought: A metre of fabric costs about £18 here in the UK. An English quilting magazine is about $7.50. So TQS membership is amazing, incredible, stupendous value for money.

I'm polishing my halo, because I'm a member (a very happy and satisfied one), knowing that I can't make the trip half way across the world for any taping. They look like such a lot of fun! The cheeky gate crashers should get a smack with a 24 inch ruler, or you could empty pots of leftover dye over them, Ricky!

Red letter day on my calendar this year: Friday, 15th of August, when I'm going to be in Birmingham at Festival of Quilts for Ricky's evening. Can't wait!
