Marilyn - I love your little quilt! The red binding was the perfect touch and your little blocks are so perfect! Good description, too.

Really pretty, Marilyn, and I love the backing fabric - I have a thing for acorns & oak leaves
By the way since my quilt be ending up about 6' square, you can't really call it a miniature :P

That's a perfect description of your quilt Marilyn! I didn't realize you had scaled down the size of the blocks. It's amazing. You're very talented and fast too! :)

Marilyn,

It turned out very well. I really like it a lot. I haven't shrank any patterns like this so I am amazed that it all comes out so perfect. I love your colors. I have not participated in this class and project, but I have sure enjoyed seeing everyone's progress and finished quilts.

Marilyn, I love your quilt and the historical significance you attributed to it. The fabrics that you chose really do tell the story as described it.

Marilyn, Your quilt is lovely. The red is perfect and I like the backing. Am I remembering correctly that you made the quilt smaller? What are the finished dimentions?

Well, here it is finished ! red binding and all ! Blocks were SIDed then a center element was
quilted around and the border, stippled with a star in each corner. I flipped a corner over to
show the backing...an oak leaf and acorn. I'm glad I did this project !

Enjoy your guest/s - hope there are no stray needles and pins lying around :!: :D By the way, what's an iFad? Is it similar to a diddle-y-iPod? (That's a musical device that only plays traditional Irish music.)
So do I on the pins & needles front  I call it my ifad, because it is much cheaper, and I desperately wanted a tablet computer to play with, but it is sloooow and easily loses it's connection

I must admit that it is nice having it all tidied up - just needs a hoover - and being able to see my first finished quilt in it's entireity for a change

Okay, Lois... reading your last two posts, all I could think of was poor little froggie, what did you do to it? The weather is beautiful here in DC, my window is open and I can hear rib-it, rip-it outside... :)
