Yes, I noticed long ago and decided like you, that I will arrange according to my vase and flower colors. Still haven't decided how I will quilt this baby, though. Had considered doing quilt as you go, and may still do that...........but obviously, not until I decide HOW to do it.

You're not a doofus at all. I think that one of the many beauties of this quilt is that you can put it together in any way you wish. It's your quilt do as you please. I can't wait to see the completed row.

Arrangement of Blocks in Completed BOM? 03 Jul 2008 17:07 #21313

Probably a bit premature, but . . . Sue Garman's completed BOM quilt has the blocks in a different order than they are presented to us. I've been composing my quilt in order of presentation, i.e. January is the left top corner, February is to the right, March is the top right corner, then April begins the next row, and so on. I'm arranging my vase & fabric colors so I don't have two blue vases next to one another, for example. And that's probably the way I will assemble the final quilt top.

Am I just a creative doofus (since I didin't notice this right away), or has anyone else noticed this? I guess it doesn't make any difference, but I am curious -- Sue, why did you arrange the blocks the way you did, and why did you present them in a different order? Just wondering! Thanks --

Kathy
