Well, Better late than never! I have just added my April BOM to my profile. I really like how this block turned out and this is by far my favorite so far. Choosing fabrics is always my downfall and for once I am actually happy with them for this block. Will try to start the May block later this weekend but I have some wedding projects I have to work on tomorrow. Sally in sorta soggy NE Ohio

Thanks for your encouraging words! There's nothing very original in my blocks, but I've enjoyed working on my needle-turning technique. Lots of practice doing these BOMs, right? And I also am enjoying the camaradie of all my new quilting buddies.

Denise, love your embellishments! Your block looks very zippy! Glad you pointed out the little ants, 'cause I would have missed it!

April BOM 04 May 2008 16:05 #17775

My April BOM is posted! It was finished around the middle of April, but this was my first opportunity to get it posted. Now on to May - I will probably be working on it in the car, on the way to California!

Ya hoo, my computer decided to let me on again, of course I did have to spend $100 for a new video card and some other stuff.

Anyway, I posted my April block and the first 4 in my profile. I didn't have a circle template the right size for my berries so I used a socket from my husband's tool chest. Love my little cherries in the center of them.

My flowers have beads in the start center. Oh and you'll note that I used ant fabric for the green section of my flower which is more in line with the way MY garden would be LOL.

Yes, my garden called me yesterday too. Was a good feeling to be digging and breaking up clods of dirt. Trimming spent flowers from the coriopsis plants, (spelled wrong?) and watching the birds. As nourishing as quilting can be!

Thanks for the compliments!

Well it is not done yet. I was a little short of time the last time, but I did play with my EQ6.
I put my blocks on a quilt to see how they will turned out and……….See for yourself on my profile. I am not quite satisfied. I need to play a little more.
But the weather is so nice, I prefer to go outside instead of sitting on my computer.
In the garden I will work on my May block. I just can start quick enough.
Maybe does are your plans to! Well I will think of you all over the world lets sew together outside.
Have a nice an sunny appliqué day.
By the way, I was last Friday in Luxemburg for a national quilt festival in Wilwerwiltz, Pintch, Lellingen and Enscherange.
It was just great. Good weather, beautiful quilts, bag and lots of new inspirations.
A small land but a great quilt show. Well done Luxemburg! Are there by the way members from Luxemburg on this forum?
Lots of lover from a warm and sunny Belgium
