Wow Carol! This is going to be absolutely georeous! I have never worked with silk, for fear it would be a "slippery" project. But then you are an excellent award winning quilter, so you probably have all of the pitfalls already solved. I will be looking forward to your updates in the BOM Show and Tell!

Now I am ready to start with the YY, O, OO, F, R and piece my center star using Template 1. Then I am going to use these colors and sew Template 2. When I get this done. I will post a picture.

A while ago I decided I wanted to do my Sedona Star in Dupioni Silk. I finally got the last of the yardage on Thursday. I wanted to share the color palette with you. I created a PDF document that has the fabric swatches which correspond to the FIZZ fabrics. I am going to start on Month 1 today. I can't wait!!!! I just printed out my templates and am ready to start. I will post my center as soon as I get it done.
Here are the first 3 dupioni colors.

So excited! My fabric arrived today and it is beautiful! Just waiting on Ricky's Stable stuff - oh, and my machine to get out of the shop. Have a new 830, it and I do not seem compatible. In the last 3 months it has spent more time in the shop than in my sewing room! The shop is sending it back to Bernina (luckily I only live about an hour from the main office in IL) but the wait is still about 2 weeks! Excited to get started!

Mary Kay - it's definitely worth it, if for no other reason than CorelDraw comes with it!

Thanks for the advice, Sarah! I am also hopeful that with this BOM project, I can learn to use my 730 for applique embroidery too. I am soooooooo excited about this BOM (even though I already had my list of 2012 quilt projects figured out). This is going to be fun!!! :D

Me too! I just have to figure out whether I'm going to use my own colorway or one of the two provided. BTW, I really like the upgrade, but I skipped the last one, so there may be more differences in that case.

Sherry is correct - Bernina didn't add CorelDraw until Version 6.

Sarah :-)
